The San Bernardino Health Fair will be held at Indian Springs High School in San Bernardino, CA on Saturday, January 19, 2019, 9 am – 3 pm. The fair will provide free services such as glucose checks with diabetic foot exams, blood pressure checks, flu shots, physician consults, and a variety of other community referrals. Everyone is welcome! The event is sponsored by University of California, Riverside School of Medicine and American Medical Student Association.

- San Bernardino County’s diabetes-related death rate (32.4 per 100,000 population) is more than 50 percent higher than the state average
- 70 percent of all patients who enter Loma Linda University Medical Center are diabetic.
- About 45 percent of all adults in the county have pre-diabetes or undiagnosed diabetes. Up to 30 percent of those with pre-diabetes will develop Type 2 diabetes within five years.
